My friend, author and photographer Malina Saval, came over to take some photos of Gig and her nursery not too long ago. She just sent me the photos. I’ve enjoyed doing her nursery so much. It continues to inspire me everyday. At first I was so intimidated to make my own choices and trust my inner designer. Now design feels more like an amazing adventure than anything else. I am so proud of Gigi’s room. I think it looks so cool, like her. A mix of modern, vintage and fun. Thanks for the photos Malina. They came out great! (ps I took the bottom two. The ones that didn’t come out as profesh. I must take a photography class!)
Congrats to you on your new baby girl! Love the nursery – so bright, lively and eclectic. I’m especially loving that rug and print above the crib. 🙂
Thanks so much Mary. It’s been so much fun to create. The rug is from CB2 and the print is a Mckenzie Thorpe litho. I love his work! Hope all is well. Meri
Hi Meri! Love your nursery! The colors are beautiful, modern and cozy at the same time, feminine but not overly so. We’re in the process of doing our own as well and totally loving it. Wanted to ask you where you got your bassinet and stand. it’s so nice! Thanks, and congrats!
Hey Carolina. Thank you so much. We got that stand at Giggle in their final sale area. Total score. The bassinet was a gift but I found a link for it here http://www.epinions.com/prices/tadpoles-cable-knit-moses-basket-green-moses-baskets
Have fun creating and congrats on your new one to be!
Thank you!! =)
One more question…i’ve read reviews of the Tadpole basket (the organic one though) not being very good quality and the bedclothes shrinking after the first wash. Did you have any problems like that with this bassinet? thanks!
I haven’t had any issues with it. I like ours a lot. Though, I’m not 100 percent sure it’s the Tadpole but I think it is.
Great! Thanks again =)
