pretty puffy ribbon clouds - ziploc bags, shaving cream, duct tape and ribbons - great sensory activity for babies and toddlersI saw these great sensory shaving cream bags on one of my favorite blogs, Growing a Jeweled Rose not too long ago.  I thought they would be great for play group, especially for the babies.  Turns out they were great for everybody.   They are so easy to make and thanks to the dollar store, super cheap too.  Since I planned to use them in our teepee I wanted them to look extra pretty so I attached ribbons to the end which made them so interesting for the kids and super gorgeous to look at.  Just fill a ziploc with shaving cream, seal the bag, add duct tape to one side of the bag at the seal leaving about an inch of tape exposed.  Place ribbons across the duct tape and then add another piece of duct tape over that one to seal it, tape side to tape side.  The bags last a surprisingly long time.  I was able to use them for our morning and afternoon playgroups.  I cut off the duct tape and ribbons in one strip the next day to save them too.  These are definitely something I want to do again.  I’d love to make a big version like the rainbow waterbeds  we made.  These feel so good to touch.  They had such a relaxing quality to them.  The babies loved them especially.
