If you are looking for a super simple invitation to create, this is the perfect summer activity for young and older children. Gather some shells, put on some nature sounds and get painting.

Start with your favorite watercolor set. We love this one. We use it all the time. Set out a tray with a few shells on it along side a cup of water and a brush. Now step aside. You won’t be needed for a while.
You can add a little salt too just for fun. We made a white sand beach like the ones in Long Island, where I am from.
There is no right or wrong way to do this activity which is one of the things I love about it. It’s simple, easy and very little mess, another fav.
