Rainbow Spaghetti Sensory Play for Babies and ToddlersI try to get a round of rainbow spaghetti in for almost every session of art play group.  It is just so much fun.  The squishy, tangly, squirmy, vibrant spaghetti creates the most engaging sensory experience for young children.   My girls can play in it all day.  And D can eat it all day.  The recipe is super simple.  Read the recipe for rainbow spaghetti here.  I’ve tried the set up a few different ways.  Sometimes we put it in a large tub from Ikea.  Other times I place it right on a plastic tarp.  The kids either end up in the tub or lay down and sit in it on the tarp.  It’s safe to eat and just overall awesome.  I have thought about the waste factor and then I think about the benefits, like extreme joy, laughter and kid bliss and I guess that’s where I fold.  It’s just so good.  I’ve written a bunch of other posts about it here and here but recently came across these pics from last summer and fell in love all over again.  We had so much fun!  Plus, Gigi’s sweater with those leopard leggings makes me totally high, so I had to share.
