You need two things – coated wire and beads. That’s it. I love these
Darice beads and they come in all different colors, like these
black and white ones, and these
multicolored ones.
Once you have your materials, invite some kids over and start beading. Wire is easy to cut with a scissor. I kept it long so we could make large bead sculptures with it. The kids loved easily placing the beads on the wire. I made a little curly cue on one side of each wire so the beads didn’t fall off. I’m always surprised how long young children can sit and bead, even my two year old got 18 beads on hers before moving on. I know because we counted the beads with the older kids and noticed any patterns we saw too.
Then, we made shapes and faces.
And amazing beaded art sculptures.
And then we made them into necklaces and headbands.
We just had a lot of fun with these beautiful beads. Simple, happy, fun. Have a great day everybody!
Honestly.. these speak to the beauty of simplicity! Over and over and over. Love them
